Biography
Julie M. Schmidt is an associate at Burns, Figa & Will. Her practice focuses primarily on commercial and real estate litigation. She also represents attorneys in disciplinary matters.
Ms. Schmidt is licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado and before the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Prior to joining Burns, Figa & Will, Ms. Schmidt worked as an attorney for the Colorado Supreme Court Office of Attorney
Regulation Counsel, where she investigated and prosecuted attorney discipline cases.
During law school, Ms. Schmidt was a staff editor for the University of Denver Water Law Review, worked in the Civil Rights and Disability Law Clinic, and received the Chancellor's Scholarship for her public service work.
Prior to law school, Ms. Schmidt worked for five years in marketing, including as the director of marketing for a Habitat for Humanity chapter in the Philadelphia area and as an international pricing and product development analyst for a major pharmaceutical company.
Ms. Schmidt is a member of the American Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association. She currently serves on the executive board for the Colorado Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division.
